Service Description

Step into the yurt, leave the week behind, and allow your body to fully exhale. Sunday Reset Sessions are a long-standing and much-loved part of The Yoki Way, returning after a pause and continuing a restorative practice that has been held here in Totnes for over four years. This is not a typical yoga class. It’s a guided rest experience designed to help your nervous system settle, soften, and reset. The space is warm, candlelit, and carefully prepared. Everything you could need for comfort is provided – sheepskin throws, blankets, bolsters, cushions, and eye pillows – so you can be fully supported from the moment you arrive, We move slowly through around six simple, 'true' long-held restorative poses. No flexibility or experience is needed. The shapes are accessible, the pace is unhurried, and the session is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with an established practice. Each session begins with a gentle three-card oracle reading to set the tone for your session. Throughout the session, you’ll be guided by voice and a carefully created playlist, with a light thread of live sound woven through the space. As a Reiki practitioner, I offer individual hands-on Reiki to each person who would like to receive it, allowing for a more personal and deeply restorative experience within the group setting. Gate opens 15 minutes before the session so you can arrive slowly and settle into the space. The yurt is a short 15 walk from the centre of town, yet feels a world away once you’re inside. After the session closes, you’re welcome to stay for a herbal tea if you’d like to relax a little longer before returning to your Sunday. This session is for anyone, whether feeling tired, overstimulated, or just in need of space to come back to themselves. The focus is not on doing more, but on allowing the body to rest. Held twice monthly on Sundays.

The Yoki Way Yurt Moon View House Higher Westonfields Totnes TQ9 5QZ (Moon view is next to house number 73) To access the Yurt, there is a short downhill walk down the garden and the lawn to reach it from the road.  Please wear shoes suitable for walking on grass, as it may be wet and a little Slippy after rain. Please tread slowly and carefully as you come down through the lawn, as the lawn is set on a slight incline. Absolutely no parking in the small cul de sac itself, parking must be on the main road If you are walking up from the main town please allow a little extra time for the incline as we are higher up the hill than Totnes town As you arrive and as you leave, I ask that those that come in pairs or a small group keep conversations are kept to a hush This began as a way protect the quiet of the local area, but I have found it to be something more meaningful. Entering in hushed voices is a way to prepare for the stillness and rest you are about to experience. Leaving in the same gentle way honors the space you have taken for yourself before you step back into the wider rhythms of daily life. Booking policy reminder; Refunds or a credit to be used across any of the services can be done 48Hours before your sessions starts. As this is a small group session so the 48 hours allows enough time for me to re sell your space
