Modern life is full-on.

We’re often pulled in a hundred directions, our bodies holding onto tension while our minds race ahead.

These classes are designed as a place to step out of the swirl and give your nervous system the chance to reset.

Whether through stillness in Restorative, or through deep fascia stretching in Yin each practice offers a way to meet yourself with kindness, calm, and care.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is about stopping, truly stopping, and learning the art of stillness. But stillness doesn’t come easily. In a world that thrives on distraction, it can feel almost impossible to just lie down and relax. Rest is a skill we have to re learn, a practice we can slowly cultivate with the right support. In the session, you’ll be guided into a small number of fully supported postures, each one held for longer so the nervous system can gently down-shift. This is rest beyond sleep: a chance to let the body know it is safe to release, to soften, and to simply be.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga works in a different but complementary way. Here, we take floor-based poses held for around three to four minutes, long enough to gently stress the fascia, the web of connective tissue where we often store tension and tightness. It’s not about pushing or forcing; it’s about finding your edge, staying with it, and allowing the body to release layer by layer. This means Yin Yoga is suitable for complete beginners through to advanced practitioners, as the practice focuses on finding one’s personal edge rather than achieving a specific alignment or depth in a pose.

In my teaching style of yin, we acknowledge that fascia and the nervous system are deeply interconnected. The state of mind we’re in when we practice matters. When the nervous system begins to settle, the fascia responds more willingly, offering depth, softness, and spaciousness.

For this reason, each class begins with a very gentle, light movement flow for 10–15 minutes. This helps stimulate fluid exchange within the connective tissues, increases the glide between fascial layers, and warms the body so it can respond more comfortably to the longer static holds that follow.
We then move into five minutes of simple, guided breathing to calm and ground the nervous system before easing into classic yin poses, held for three to four minutes to encourage gradual release in the connective tissues.
Yin brings a sense of spaciousness and ease, helping the nervous system settle while the body feels opened and refreshed.

What to Expect

Both classes are held online, so you can practice in the comfort of your own home. All you need is a mat, a blanket, some cushions, and a quiet corner. In every session, you’re encouraged to listen inward, to pause longer than feels usual, and to leave with a body more at ease and a nervous system more grounded.

During the Restorative class those who consent will also receive relaxing Reiki from Olivia via 'distance Reiki'

You can expect most of the postures to be done lying on your mats, so wear what’s comfortable to you

What others have said....

"Olivia's classes have offered me the space to relax my mind and body. I feel safe in the space to reconnect and go within in an ambiance set with beautiful sounds that feel healing. Olivia's gift is her ability to enable her small intimate classes to bask in 75 mins suspension of the outside world and focus on the experience of letting go. She uses her intuition, her care and commitment to create a harmonious setting so we can all tune in. I'm so grateful to be able to attend on such a regular basis"
